Brian Faust, or at least the moniker they gave me on the Mothership, is my name. I live in Louisville which is unfortunately located in Kentucky. But shhh, I won't tell anyone if you don't.

I used to live in Toledo, Ohio where I went to high school and later down the road in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a web designer by day, and my current shiny objects include photography, printmaking, cooking, brewing beer, reading and other things that bore my beautiful wife.

Why not?

I started writing online in 2002, right after graduating from college, and right before you and your sister's uncle snickered when they heard "blog" for the first time. I don't blame you.

Since then, I've tried to maintain this little corner of the dumptruck series of tubes internet, basically for my own amusement and creative outlet.

What else?

I do some freelance work in my spare time when I'm not working for my supper. I've won some professional awards, but that's lame and I don't think too much of them or my design work anyway. Oh, I've also got a crazy-ass dog, and The Wife™ who's cooler than a polarbear's toenails.

What do you use to publish this 'web log?'

MoveableType is the engine, and lovingly crafted CSS and some fancy grey'n'orange pixels makes it look mildly presentable.

I also use a few niffty plugins, including PreviousNextInCategory, RandomEntries, and SmartyPants.

Why does it suck so badly? No I mean it, both the writing and the design...
