5 Things I Love for Friday #94

Originally posted on December 07, 2007

  1. Fast Faust Poster - All the words from Goethe’s Faust, sorted by occurrence and indicated by size. Done in 2000, perhaps this was the world’s first (albeit printed) tag cloud?
  2. These bedside lamps - I’m in the market for new lamps for the master bedroom, as the current Target ones are moving to the guestroom in the basement. Not sure I could bring myself to spend $80 per lamp, though. Sad, because these were the only ones I’ve found that I’m partial to.
  3. Cat Talking, Translation - Ah Friday, time for a random YouTube video to make you laugh. This one is short, sweet and hilarious. I knew it! I knew cats could talk. Sneaky bastards. [via]
  4. Numbers Clock - Again with home furnishings. I’m crushing on this clock for the home office. Wife won’t let me get it. Stupid wife.
  5. Pigeon Point Lighthouse - Assuming this isn’t ‘Shopped (and by the detailed account by the photographer, I’d say not), what an amazing photo. While not overly partial to lighthouses, there’s no argument here that it’s not an outstanding (and serendipitous) shot.

Just get the clock and lamps while you can - there won't be spare cash for any of this homewares necessity nonsense once the little 'un comes along! Treat yourself while you can! LOL

For the Open Road

I was a boyscout when I was younger. And while I didn't care for everything that we did as a troop, I still lament the fact that I never won a Pinewood Derby competition. Do they have those for adults?
