- One Day As A Lion - Ex-Rage Against the Machine lead singer Zack de la Rocha emerges after years of absence with a forthcoming EP featuring ex-Mars Volta member Jon Theodore. Though I’m still waiting for the material he recorded with DJ Shadow eons ago, I’ll take this first song. It’s sad that Zack was absent during the entire Bush administration.
- Kitsch Cafe, Etsy shop - My friend Drew is a very talented designer. He recently opened is own Etsy shop to sell knickknacks that’s he’s picked up over the years. I dig it. I also appreciate his attention to detail on the packaging. Good luck, Drew!
- Burn After Reading trailer [video] - New preview from the upcoming Cohen Brothers film. George Clooney, John Malkovich, Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand…what a cast. Looks goofy and entertaining.
- Time for Some Campaignin’ [video] - The new JibJab political vid is pretty entertaining. While it’s less humorous than their 2004 smash hit, their animation chops have gone way up. Worth a watch for that alone (and to see Obama riding a unicorn that farts rainbows).
- Weezer’s “Why Bother” acoustic version [video] - Rivers on drums with a beret and mustache. Brian Bell with a strong lead vocal. A great song from Pinkerton made possibly better? Perhaps.
