5 Things I Love for Friday #169

  1. Beautiful data visualization - Aggregated colors for each season from user photos uploaded to Flickr. What a stunning piece of art in and of itself. [via]
  2. TV theme song medley - This kid does a pretty solid mashup. Nice two part harmonies.
  3. “Teen Dream” by Beach House - I’ve been digging into this album this week. I get a sort of Mazzy Star influence from them.
  4. Trailer for Treme - David Simon (of The Wire fame) has a new series about post-Katrina New Orleans. Looks expectedly fantastic. Even if it’s half as good as The Wire it’ll still trounce almost anything on TV right now.
  5. Founders Red Rye P.A. - A seriously good brew from a company who can’t seem to turn out a bad beer. I really enjoyed this as my first introduction to rye beers.

Big Pipes

I have an unusually large throat. Not that this is much of a talent, but it sure did come in handy as a child when I wanted to swallow entire stalks of broccoli or other veggies without tasting them.
